How to Clean MUFFIK Orthopedic Mats?

Quick and simple!

You can get rid of small dirt such as crumbs and sand simply by shaking the mats out. Stubborn dirt like hair or dust can be removed with a vacuum cleaner. Snack-time and other little disasters can be rescued with a classic wet wipe. But if major maintenance is needed, treat your MUFFIKS to a warm (max 40 °C) bubbly bath. Use classic soapy water or pamper them with our NON-Toxic BIO CLEANER, which disinfects them, cleans them, and wraps them in a gentle lemongrass scent.

For the diverse structured surfaces, use a soft brush and finish the rest with a cloth. Make sure that the mats do not bend or fold anywhere while washing. They should always remain flat. For this reason, we do not recommend using a washing machine or dishwasher, where they may warp due to high temperatures and unstable positioning.

A final rinse with the shower will remove even the most hidden soap bubbles that could threaten MUFFIK’s super anti-slip ability. Shake the drops from the mats into a towel and let them finish drying on a flat surface. Do not use a dryer, direct sunlight, or other heat sources that could damage the material of the mat.

Step by step:

1. Remove all dirt from the mat. You can use a brush or a vacuum cleaner with a soft attachment.

2. Use warm water up to a maximum of 40 °C. Prepare a cleaner and gently clean the mat with a soft brush or cloth.

3. Then rinse the mat with clean water. Remove any soap residue and check that the mat is clean.

4. Let the mat air dry. Leave it to dry on a flat surface at room temperature.

5. Do not use a dryer, direct sunlight, or other heat sources that could damage the material of the mat.

A little mishap and the MUFFIKS got warped? No panic! 😊

If you leave the mat on an uneven surface, it can happen that MUFFIK loses a bit of its straight character and decides to live life its own way. Don’t despair! Just place the twisted rebel on a flat and firm surface and weigh it down with something heavy, such as books or another object. If needed, gently warm it with a hairdryer or warm water and weigh it down again. Let it cool down calmly and your MUFFIK will return back to shape as if nothing ever happened. ✅

A morning shower can be much more than just hygiene. Orthopedic mats in the shower transform your everyday routine into a pleasant reflex foot massage that stimulates blood circulation throughout the whole body and kick-starts your day in the best possible way.

MUFFIKS are well prepared for water and the shower does not bother them at all. Still, give them a little more attention than mats used in a dry environment. After every shower, simply rinse them with clean water so that shampoo or shower gel residues do not remain on them, as these could weaken their anti-slip abilities.

⚠️ Attention! If your set includes ECO mats made from natural WPC composite, do not place this mat in a wet shower area. This natural material is not anti-slip and does not like a humid environment.

Where to put MUFFIKS when you are not using them? 📦

The honest answer? Ideally nowhere! 😄 MUFFIKS are happiest when they can be where life happens. Let them lie freely on the floor in the children’s room, hallway, bathroom, or living room. Every little step on them is a small investment in the health of the whole family, and you will not even notice how naturally their everyday use becomes part of your routine.
