MUFFIK is not the result of a single afternoon idea. Behind every mat are years of collaboration with physiotherapists and podiatrists who co-create individual mat types and entire sets to maximally stimulate the soles of the feet and strengthen the whole body.

We place great emphasis on natural surfaces—ones that are completely natural for the human foot or an animal’s paw. Most of these materials are collected directly from nature and scanned for maximum authenticity. That is why you will not find dinosaurs here (Dino Eggs do not count—they were stones renamed by our little son), numbers, or fairy-tale characters. You will find pebbles, branches, roots, grass, and meadows—real surfaces that provide the feet with the most natural stimulation possible.

Of course, we also have a few exceptions with their own stories: our hedgehog mascot, a snake serving as a balance beam, or the playful POP IT! But each of these mats still has an orthopedic purpose.

We manufacture in the Czech Republic, in the heart of the European Union, and we certainly do not cut corners on certifications. Our mats comply with strict European safety standards:

✅ EN 71-2:2011 + A1:2014 – flammability
✅ EN 71-3:2019 – migration of chemical elements

These certificates are not just papers sitting in a drawer. They are a guarantee that every mat coming into contact with a child’s foot or a dog’s paw is safe, non-toxic, and responsibly manufactured. Cheap imported copies generally cannot provide such guarantees.

Every Mat Passes Through Our Hands—Several Times

We are not an assembly-line manufacturer that packs a product and immediately ships it out. Every MUFFIK mat passes through human hands at several stages: during design, during the first prototype, and during final production. We never allow a defective mat to reach you.

And what about the pieces that do not turn out 100% perfect? They definitely do not end up in the trash. We fully recycle them and give them a second life. We care deeply about the environment, which is why we do everything possible to achieve zero-waste production using fully recyclable materials.

When developing MUFFIK, we encountered an interesting challenge. The idea itself and natural surfaces cannot be patented. The only thing we could legally protect was our unique puzzle lock. We patented it, which is exactly why you will not find it in competing products. Over time, it became so characteristic of MUFFIK that we turned it into our company logo. 🧩
